New INCA Maintenance Guidance Manual for EWI Systems
Book Your Place At The Launch Event
The launch has been rescheduled 10.30am on Thursday 23rd March 2023. All INCA members are invited to this event marking the publication of our new Maintenance Guidance Manual for EWI Systems.
This industry document is designed to provide important maintenance guidance and general advice to homeowner’s on how to look after their property once an external wall insulation system has been installed. It also provides general guidance to the home owner on what steps to follow should they experience any problems or where the installed EWI system becomes damaged.
Obviously, the information contained within the document is for general guidance only and, as such, INCA advise seeking advice from the system designer or installing contractor regarding any specific issues. We expect that all areas highlighted in the guide will be specifically covered in system holders supporting maintenance guides.
Taking into account the fact that this guide is aimed at the homeowner we have made sure the guide has been written in an informal and easy to understand / follow manner. We’ve kept it down to just 14 pages containing four main sections to the guidance as follows:
- Living with external wall insulation systems.
- As a homeowner what you should know and do?
- Making physical alterations to your property.
- Damage, what to do next
The launch event will take to form of an INCA Member Forum. It will be a virtual meeting hosted on Microsoft Teams which will take the format of a short presentation from key people involved in putting the guide together to introduce it to you all. This will be followed by plenty of time for follow on questions and discussion. At the end of the event the guide will be circulated and available for download via the INCA website.
This event has now taken place – you can now Downloand the INCA Maintenance Guide.
The Maintenance Guidance Manual for EWI Systems is the result of the efforts of the INCA Technical Committee alongside Andrew Champ from SWIGA and Gary Peacey of EWI Consultants Ltd – we are grateful for the efforts of everyone who volunteered their time, experience and expertise to this project and would like to thank all involved.
